Triggers are a way to execute actions when certain events occur. Primarily they're intended as a way of sending MIDI configuration events to external devices, but can also be used to execute external scripts.

For example, a trigger can be used to send a program change event to an external device when a session is loaded.

Triggers can be enabled or disabled on a per sub-session basis, allowing flexible configurations to be defined in a single session.
