Multiple "Songs" per Session

In my previous post I hinted that I'll be replacing Cantabile's fast session switching with something better.

Although I haven't designed it yet, this will probably be the ability to define multiple switchable configurations within the one session file - "songs". eg:

• Ability to define various mute/solo/preset/tempo/media file combinations for plugins, all saved in the one session file (eg: a "song" )
• Ability to define Song lists, selectable by program change.
• Ability to send MIDI events on song start/end
• Ability to go "full screen" with lyrics/notes etc...
• Ability to trigger playback of audio files from MIDI device.

This all revolves around supporting live performance situations and I'd love to hear what else you'd like to see in this area before I get too far into the design of it...
