Plugin Selector Presets

For sometime now Cantabile's plugin selector has had a category "Presets". This category simply shows all the FXB and FXP files from a directory specified in Options. The problem was that it wasn't obvious how this works, nor easy to quickly add a plugin to the category.

To help with this situation, the Tools menu in each plugin slot now has a new command "Save Plugin Selector Preset".

When selected, a dialog is displayed asking for a name, sub-folder name and whether to save the current preset or the entire bank. If the folder doesn't exist it will be automatically created, existing folders are shown in the folder drop-down:

Under the covers, this just saves an FXB/FXP file... but it does it in the correct location so that the plugin selector can find it.

This is available in all editions, from build 2006.
